Calon lan tab notes7/11/2023 If you like to lend a hand, then please send your tab to, Thanks. tunes and I'm not going that path and will be adding mostly old pop and folk songs. There are plenty of websites around that specialize in providing sheet music for trad. There are plenty more out there like me, but nobody was catering for for those who would rather play songs. I know very well from attending sessions that most banjo players prefer to play the ''Traditional Tunes'' rather than ''Songs'', I was never really a huge fan of traditional music, I much prefer playing the tune of a song any day. I have been meaning to put this site together for a long time, mainly because of the amount of requests I was getting for Banjo / Mandolin tabs over on my other website Irish Folk Songs .com I used to play a lot of 4 string banjo many years ago but gave it up when I started playing the tin whistle. Not all the folk songs are Irish in origin, but as I come from Ireland they are the one's I know best. I'm trying to include something for everybody including children and those beginners just starting out. Hopefully some of you like what I'm doing. ![]() I like playing the oldies myself so I thought I may as well share them. Most of these songs have never being made into banjo / mandolin tabs before, especially the pop songs. I have made all these tabs as easy as I possibly could, each piece of music is in the key of G or D with the odd one in C. If your just starting out on the banjo then my advise would be to kick of with some easy to play songs like Belfast Mill and Dirty Old Town. Most of the songs here are Irish folk and ballad songs with some pop, country and a some Christian songs and Christmas Carols. My primary focus will be on beginners and improvers. But I'm in the process of adding CGDA tuning to all the songs at the moment. All the sheet music tabs are for GDAE, tuned banjo which is the same as the mandolin and fiddle and the most popular way of tuning.
